Mirjam brought her mother to her maternity shoot, because her mama came all the way from Switzerland to Arnhem Land as a reminder that it takes a village to raise a child, and often that village seems to begin with the woman who came before you. I had a brilliant time photographing three generations eagerly awaiting the arrival of their son, their brother, their grandson.
