R O S I E + A N D Y | married

It was expected that when a dancer married a musician, it was going to be an extravaganza. When the groom is an American who spent his childhood in East Timor and the bride is a Yolngu miyalk who gew up in East Arnhem Land, we were guaranteed a union that took on a whole other level of magic in its cultural fusion! Rosie & Andy first had their love blessed in a masuk minta- a traditional Amarasi ceremony- followed by a beautiful church wedding in Yirrkala the next day. Then, in true performer fashion, the reception was a festival of music and dance, where the bride crooned for the guests, the groom showed off his drumming skills and Yolngu bunggal and song rang throughout the night.
