When you combine the first letters of Pete’s surname with the last (well, only) letters of Emma’s, you get Dee-vine. Which was the perfect Instagram hashtag, because this wedding was genuinely divine and had my photographer’s eye rolling back in my head with pure joy. Set in the lush (and bloody freezing) Gold Coast Hinterlands, amidst rolling green knolls and blue-hazed mountains and fairy lights and wood-fired pizza and kids playing totem tennis in the mist, Em & Pete -childhood sweethearts, complete with Lily the doggo curled up in Emma’s skirts- sealed their union overlooking the ridiculously majestic Numinbah Valley and made the bridesmaids and their mothers cry. And then all the guests kicked off the party with their folk feet and ciders and ‘Maori ingenuity’ and cheeky fires to warm their hands beside the farm hall and it was all just perfect.

Confucius once said 'Wherever you go, go with all your heart'- and so Emma & Peter adventured the world over with each other, and then married their whole heart.
